Character

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on a promise to serve not only one another but the greater community as well. This commitment reflects a philosophy of friendship, concern, and usefulness in the world.

Commitment to
Dignity

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Commitment to
College Loyalty

From collegiate years on through alumnae involvement, the reason AOIIs continue service is the joy of spending time together and sharing the insights learned from the relationships we build and sustain.

Letter from the President

Hello!

Thank you for visiting the official website of the Sigma Omicron chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi at
Arkansas State University!

Alpha Omicron Pi is more than a sorority and our bonds are so much deeper than our letters.
AOII has given me the chance to meet the most amazing women. They push me every day to be
the best possible version of myself. The women of Sigma Omicron are genuine, loyal, driven,
caring, and compassionate. I am honored to serve as their Chapter President for the 2019-2020
term.
Within our chapter, each sister is seen and heard. We make a point to know one another by
talking to each sister. We find beauty and value in every single member. When I think of words
to describe Alpha Omicron Pi there is one that stands above the rest: love. Love for others, love
for our chapter, and love for our community. Love is what we value most, and it’s what makes
our sisterhood so strong. “Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:7. After all, AOII knows love, understands love, is
love. This is what we were built on.
Here at school we have built many wonderful relationships on campus. Sigma Omicron gives
our all not only to AOII, not only to Greek life, but to Arkansas State University. We have these
great relationships on campus, and within our chapter because we wear our letters proudly. It
is a privilege to be a member of AOII. I take honor in sharing our chapter’s success, our
struggles, our accomplishments, our failures, and most importantly our relationships. At the
end of the day, our relationships, the memories and our love for one another is what sets us
apart. Our sisterhood is so strong, and this is what we will take with us. I am proud to wear
these letters and share in these relationships. Every. Single. Day.
Sigma Omicron is my home and my sisters are my family. I am proud to represent my letters,
my sisters, and my red wolves!
